Pitchfork Music Festival! Never been before and always wanted to go, one of the best parts of summer are all the outdoor concerts and festivals we get. :) This year I was able to go *and* check out the cool extras that come with a +Plus tier ticket, like all the nomz with Land and Sea Dept. It was awesome! Pitchfork is definitely different than the last music festival I want to (EDC Vegas), with a dreamier, more relaxed summer vibe.  Perfect for the weekend.

With the +Plus ticket, you had access to some special food and drink vendors, enjoy shaded areas to sit and hang out, and charging stations with no lines! Also air conditioned bathrooms. Clean, super nice air conditioned bathrooms. I'd go the +Plus route many times over for next year just so I use these.

So let's talk about the food...the Land and Sea Dept crew included Parson's Chicken & Fish, Lonesome Rose, and Lost Lake Tiki Bar. If you've never had the chicken sandwich at Parson's you're seriously missing out, because it's probably the most perfect fried chicken with some richness relief with slaw and pickles, and it looks just as amazing as it tastes. If you're a vegetarian the cauliflower tacos at Lonesome Rose might be more your thing, also very very good. Walking through the crowds with two bright and colorful Lost Lake drinks was amusing because of how many times I was stopped by people asking where I got them.  I guess it's an easy way to make friends right? :)

Besides the +Plus vendors, there's more in the all access festival areas too, including a shaded lane of alcohol vendors. One of the things I liked besides the three stages of music was wandering around and checking out everything else. Highlights included: sniffing whiskey smoke at the Dewar's pop up, giant Jenga and Connect 4 on the grass, a tented craft/records market and just sitting on the grass to people watch.
